Then I banged my head a couple of more times and I realised it sounds just like the intro synth to the Haus Labs Mix of Babylon. What are the chances BloodPopTM recorded someone hitting their head against a metal railing and used it as a synth here? I appreciate both versions of the song, but let's be real the Haus Labs Mix is an absolute bop. I now have the urge to keep banging my head against metal railings wherever I go. The backing vocals on the Haus Labs version are completely different both on the verses and the chorus. Even the "Ba-ba-babble on. Gossip Gossip. Ba-ba-babble on, battle for your life gossip gossip" part is different lyrics than the demo leak. The lyrics for the demo seem to be "That's gossip Ba-Babble on, Battle for your life Babylon x2". Because the lead vocals sound the same but the backing vocals being different really makes a huge difference in how the song fits with the instrumental. Especially the additional call and response ad libs and the higher harmonies. It makes the acapella sound more dynamic as opposed to the somewhat "flat" way it is sung for the album with the choir being the biggest carrier of the harmonies.
