I thought they'd be removing the Lady in honor of Gaga

A) Every fan I know calls them Lady A anyways, and has done for years

B) Antebellum= pre-war, not just Civil War (they also said that they named it after a housing style, so not directly related to CW at all)

C) Are we now going to pretend that before 1860 just doesn't exist and never happened?

Don't Call Me Gaga

Good for them. Words have power, I'm glad they recognize that.

Still a weird name for a band though, but that's just me :laughga:

This political correctness is too much

U gotta do it. Many far Progressives will not be satisfied with anything less than perfect political correctness and will b*tch at everything otherwise, especially online :toofunny:

But whatever. Certain things if it makes everyone more comfortable then whatever. Changing terminology or names is not that difficult and takes no effort so if it's gonna make people feel better, I just say whatever ppl say u gotta say :emma:

Almost like they take the placard from a Confederate statue but leave the statue. People will still know what it is, even when it's not explicitly stated.

Which means it brings about a certain image of plantations with slaves working in the fields. In fact, the South Antebellum is also called the Plantation Era
