Gaga is more global than Beyonce. Asians aren't even aware of Lemonade, just ask people you know.

At least for Gaga, she still continue to pump out hits and capture headlines. It's quite amazing, actually.

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

Gaga has a strong personality, BeyoncĂ© lacks one. Usually a strong and developed personality puts people off, it feels invasive in their experience of “consuming” an artist.

I don't think she's as hated as she was back then. But I do think she has the most diverging opinions on her.

A lot of them like her pop side, there are people who love her only for her classical and jazz stuff. And now her acting.

She gives something for them all, and not everyone might like everything she does.

Gaga is going to be disrespected and discredited for her hard work till the day she’s gone, unfortunately. But she has millions who adore and love her.

This is sad but true, the day she dies will be the day people will see her as a legend with an amazing legacy

As others have said, Gaga probably held that title once. But she has really revived her image since ARTPOP. The general public has come to respect her talent both in Music and in Acting.

What about Taylor Swift?

She’s widely hated or not liked by girls especially at least around me..

I think Gaga is way more acknowledged and loved these days

She’s a white girl, born in a rich privileged family, very talented, successful career, LGBTQ+ ally, very creative and artistic, not very feminine, speaks her mind and acts rebellious.

its not Lady Gaga who’s hated. It’s the woman behind her. And any women with similar traits!

Is she really the most hated popstar in 2020 though? I don't think so. If this was 2013-2017, then maybe. But not now. Gaga has elevated herself, showed her talent to the world and gained respect. She has two number one hits in two following years. Chromatica is critically acclaimed and its one of Gaga's highest metacritic scores. She has won award after award for Shallow (the most awarded song in history) and has gained a tonne of respect for her talent, her kindness and personality, and for her as a person.

I think the most hated popstar is Katy Perry. She literally breathes and people call her a flop, has been, and talentless. Its ridiculous because she doesn't deserve the hate at all

I desagree with this...

If Gaga had flopped the way Daisies flopped, Twitter would be full of shade towards her saying she's over etc, not to mention Daisies sounds almost exactly like "Don't leave me alone" and no one cared, when Gaga sounds "similar" to (insert Madonna song) everybody trashes her including critics...

I think Gaga still is and will always be te most hated popstar till she's gone.... especially by those stans of veteran popstars that can't stand that Gaga is bigger than their faves nowadays.

Gaga's only hated within the stan world tho (for obvious reasons), gp actually respects her... even more than some of her fans!

I thought someone statistically had proven this among a wide view of pop stars, lol. Gaga had her hate period, sure, and some people still do...but I don't think she's as widely hated as she was 2012-2014. I think about pop stars a lot of people seem to hate...people like Demi Lovato...ahem.

But Gaga didn't. Katy did. Literally everyone on Twitter was dragging her saying "she's over" and stuff like that. Gaga has proven that you can still be here and still be relevant 12 years into your career. She "flopped" (use that loosely) in 2013 and people started hating on her then... even during Joanne people hated on her. After she did the superbowl half-time, Coachella, and A Star Is Born, people started to gain a lot more respect for her again. Plus, it opened Gaga up to completely new audiences.

Gaga is ontop of the world again. Her album is critically acclaimed everywhere and its her 6th number one album, which already has spawned two top 5 hits, one which went number one. Charts aside, I see everyone talking about Gaga that aren't Gaga fans. My friends are raving about Chromatica. Its ridiculous the amount of love people are giving this album.

Her philanthropy, her pulling together an entire concert and raised money before hand for Covid 19, and her giving her platform up for the BLM must surely have people giving her more respect - not just the public, in the music industry as well. Her impact is undeniably huge, even today in 2020, as it was back in 2008/9.

I think fans clutch onto the fear if she flopped and people hate on her incase she flops again. She might not sell as well in another 10 years, but she is most certainly a music legend and a well respected figure in pop culture
