A toxic ex-boyfriend circa 2018/9 when the track was written, who could it be... :oprah:

I love people with convictions, but I think you're wrong :ally:

If you have receipts pull them out, otherwise sit down before you get sat down :ally:

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

Literally, what's your problem? :laughga: This isn't a conviction, this is a very likely option given the timeframe. I get this is low-key a joke thread given the options in your poll, but you asked me a question, I answered, there's no need to be salty.

A lot of magazine basics were saying "Fun Tonight must be about Christian Carino or Dan!!!" after Chromatica came out, which I found to be 1) a hoot! 2) kinda sexist :smh:   What a #Shallow drama-stirring analysis right?

Gaga has never written a clapback directly about a particular ex even once! She's too classy/abstract for that :whitney:

If it was about us, I’d understand why. One could easily piece the lyrics together in that way.

It’s about struggling with fame, whether that’s about fans, her old self, etc

I can’t with people thinking it’s about Carino :sharon:

reality’s tight if the music is right

Don't think it's about herself, it wouldn't make no sense imo.

She said it's about people tryna pull her in parties etc when she clearly is not in the right state of mind.

I think she doesn't address anyone in particular, or at least not just one person. The "fame and paparazzi" could be about her, but the rest could be about anyone and even about her depression, like, go away because I am not having fun and I am sick of it.

did she also explain other album songs?

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No

Gaga never admits when a song is about a person really. So it’s easier to say it’s a reflection of herself, but I think it’s about Carino

It's mainly about herself I think. Foremost it's about how she feels. How she feels because of herself, Christian, her life, the fame, her friends etc. Its about the effect of her environment and her own thoughts on her.

I really recognize the feeling of trying to convince yourself to do things and then being overwhelmed by depression. Or trying to ignore your depression when your with friends, a lover or family and you don't want to disappoint them or bring the mood down. Or trying to numb feelings with distractions, which can be drinking, hanging out people that aren't good for you etc.

I have a feeling this might be slightly about Christian too because of how obsessed he seemed with her when they were dating, always by her side, his insta devoted to her, working together and being a couple.

After Lüc and during her relationship with Taylor Gaga became more cautious about revealing who her songs are about. We know Gypsy was about Taylor, she told us, but she didn't say PI, Milion Reasons or Sinners Prayer are about him, even though it sounds like they are. So this song could very well be about Christian, but it's a small part of the general picture.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

I can imagine some of it being about him possibly not empathising with her fear of public exposure/the media 🤔 but there are parts of the song that seem self referencial too.
