Enzoooo 377
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ccn.com/move-over-ellen-degeneres-anna-kendrick-has-something-tone-deaf-to-say/ Before I start, I do want to say I have a slight bias towards Anna Kendrick because I just find myself so entranced with her. I am a huge fan and I love everything I have seen her in. I love musical theater and her songs in The Last Five years (Even though it was not that welcomed with critics) will always be something I will sing to at the top of my lungs anytime it comes on. But anyways, I just came across this article and the author is basically mad at Anna Kendrick saying filming Twilight was traumatic and then compared her to George Floyd saying she shouldn’t be complaining because Floyd died. He says Anna Kendrick is the epitome of white privilege and she is what somebody thinks of what you hear “white privilege” and “Karen”. Although I don’t dispute that generalization of her, I don’t agree with it 100% and I found it rude only for the way you can kind of understand he meant it in a spiteful way. The murder of George Floyd was beyond terrible, and I’m sure everybody would agree. I agree that this is a systemic issue that has been controlled to the advantage of specific classes and positions And it needs to stop before any other innocent lives are taken by Police that believe they are above any type of law. I’m not disputing that in this thread. I’m disputing the fact that this Vanity Fair video was most likely filmed before the murder of Floyd, and Anna Kendrick was just recounting the experience of filming a movie. The video itself is about her career as an actress and how she felt about specific films. Yes, her choice of words are a little off putting and she should have considered a different way of expressing how miserable the set was because of the weather and temperature while filming, however the author is basically saying “stop complaining you didn’t die”(paraphrasing of course), is what is wrong with cancel culture and what he is trying to do here to Anna Kendrick. She said it in jest and in her typical no nonsense attitude, not in anyway where she actually considered it to be a horrible, grueling torture. Vanity Fair has created countless videos of other actors and actresses that give their opinions on filming specific films, Anna’s was a bit too uncensored in that bit, but she really didn’t mean anything by it and it didn’t come off as fake like Ellen typically does when making jokes. Brecht 7
This guy was trying really hard to get clicks The video was obviously filmed before Floyd and the two events have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
berlinforme 5,316
I don't like Anna Kendrick, but in what way is she a Karen? Does she go around screaming at Starbucks employees? Lol
Poissonche 12,365
OK, maybe her choice of words was a little risqué. But?

Lol She doesn’t go around screaming at Starbucks employees, I’ve heard she’s actually one of the more nice and down to earth people, I think it’s just the way she looks and lowkey acts is representative of what a Karen typically is like I guess?
