It always bothers me when an album cover doesn't even look like the artist in question and the title looks like it has nothing to do with the album cover at all. It's meant to be Taylor, naked, with her face covered by her hair. Just a crudely drawn picture, I don't get the effect. I think that since it was a throwback to mid-century pop, it's supposed to look like old-school vinyl records. Back in the day, there were lots of glamour shot close-ups like the one of Christina --- and, for a time, there was a specific trend in the little banner on the top of a record cover with the label and information like "hi-fi" or "mono" etc...
