This is actually very true. 

Title Track “Joanne”’s placement on the first half in general (with literally only the upbeat songs) is somehow amazing, when it seems like it should be a little jarring, with the rest of the slower songs on the back half.

Something present in BTW, AP, and Joanne is genre variety which is something Chromatica lacks (it’s all house [Haus] music minus the interludes, SL, PD, 911 and Sine) 

that doesn’t take anything away from Chromatica though. But yeah I like those albums better for that variety
