How is Kendrick Lamar overrated? 

Also, if I'm showing my support for this man appearing twice in the top ten, your deliberate nay-saying (especially at a time like this)... is... tone deaf.

Understood. I guess I just wanted more of an explanation. 

Kendrick has a legacy and accolades including multiple Grammys and a Pulitzer Prize -- which is phenomenal for someone who grew up in Section 8 Housing on welfare.

I think he's an amazing talent, and highly impactful/influential. So if you think otherwise, maybe an explanation would be appropriate.
Seeing as you didn't need to reply to my comment with your vacant opinion, as mentioned.

I don't think most of his music sounds good, idk what to say :neyde: I don't know any of his lyrics tho tbh

They only gave her a higher score because it's just her second album and they didn't expect that level of quality early in her career. The album is nothing groundbreaking.

Also, critics have always been harsh on Gaga. She's always been held to a higher standard and/or viewed through a different lens than the other pop girls.

Totally agree with the FN hype, it's a mediocre album at best.

I do think that 79 is a perfect score for Chromatica, it's a great album, nothing particularly ground-breakig though.

Its the albums genre diversity, the songs messages, lyricism and the albums cultural impact. Its ok not to understand the hype around it though but Beyonce did amazing in this one. Its a stunming piece of art. Great art is often misunderstood.

Maybe the music is just not your taste/preference? No matter what people say, if its not your taste it will never sound good to you even if you try to like it. And thats fine. Some people dont like the songs I like sometimes. I dont see a problem with that. :hug: His music is great though. Well in my opinion. His recent album is amazing and very cohesive.
