They always nominate the most acclaimed album of the year and then proceed to not give it anything (except with Kacey Musgraves)

The Grammy's are well aware of Fiona Apple. You can arguably say Extraordinary Machine and Idler Wheel came and went, but they still snagged Grammy nominations and were not as widely acclaimed as Fetch the Bolt Cutters. When Brandi Carlisle received an AOTY nod was her album fresh on minds? I'm not saying it'll happen, I'm just really stressing that an album "coming and going" means nothing (particularly in this music era we're in) if it has widespread acclaim and is by a respected, previously awarded artist...

Everything I Wanted has an unbelievably high chance of being nominated for SOTY (not winning though), because it’s exceptional lyrically, has been a commercial success, and the Grammys love Billie and they want to prove last year wasn’t a one time thing.

gaga’s not gonna attend for the same reason she didn’t come or say anything this year. and, of course, she doesn’t come, she doesn’t win anything major wbk this

Lemonade won Urban Contemporary and Formation won music video. ST won 3 awards I believe.

It's a nominees prediction thread. I made a comment about trends in terms of nominees, which was accurate. You made the choice to post a condescending reply not based on any evidence. I am just pointing out that your comment was inaccurate and unhelpful. Maybe aspire to actually add something helpful to a conversation when you choose to participate.

No i chose to make a joke and i said billie ellish says hi because she won quite a few grammys and there nothing condescending about it you simply cant take a joke

Not attending last year fit perfectly into how she/ Interscope handled ASIB. Shallow was the only piece of that movie to crossover into Gaga's music career; after Joanne's singles spent *1* week combined in the BB Top 10, not promoting ARUTW as a 2nd single had to have been deliberate to separate Gaga from Ally. Her noms last year, while great, were an extension of an era that had concluded a year earlier. 

ARUTW = Million Reasons on Spotify, despite 100 performances of the latter. Interscope/ Gaga could've easily secured a 2nd Top 10 single, and AOTY + ROTY/SOTY + BPSP Grammy noms:
1. 02/2019: ARUTW perf. at the Grammys
2. 03/2019: Announce ASIB Soundtrack 2.0; Release Single #2 "ARUTW" WW + Send to US Radio
3. 04/2019: ASIB Soundtrack 2.0; no dialogues + "INLA (studio)" + "Shallow (live/Oscars)" + "Clover"
4. 05/2019: ARUTW perf. at the BB Music Awards
5. 06/2019: ARUTW+INLA+Shallow encore at Apollo perf. / added to Enigma

Regardless, as I mentioned earlier, it's extremely rare to see Pop in the General Field. It has become easier w/ the expanded field (from 5 to 8), but takes a narrative / commercial smash / etc. After Hours will be considered Urban Contemporary or R&B even though Blinding Lights will be in Best Pop Solo where it will likely win. Future Nostalgia/ Fine Line/ Hollywood's Bleeding will receive some scattered nominations, but no "domination."

Future Nostalgia had an early lead, but Don't Start Now never hit #1 and the album's sales were mediocre. I wouldn't be surprised if it got the Sweetener treatment (no GF noms; 1 win for Pop Vocal Album) OR the Thank U, Next treatment (GF + Pop noms / 0 wins).

Beyonce -- like Lizzo (Pop win for Truth Hurts, Urban Contemporary win for Cuz I Love You, R&B win for Jerome), Taylor Swift (Pop + Country noms), etc. -- has amassed a boatload of Grammys because her music is allowed in different genres, whereas Gaga would not be able to submit Million Reasons into Country or 911 into Dance (luckily, she collected 2 wins in Dance before new rules). However, Bey has just 1 General Field win (Single Ladies = SOTY) + 1 Pop win (Halo = Best Pop Solo). Her loss to Adele's 25 was seen as a major snub.
