I 100% believe someone in Trumps administration has evidence that Lindsey is a gay man and Lindsey is so afraid of that coming out, he will support Trump's agenda. Graham is from South Carolina, a very conservative state. They aren't going to send an openly gay man to represent them in the senate. But it’s impossible to not consider the long term impact growing up in 1950’s South Carolina has on a queer kid. If he is gay, he was grappling with his homosexuality in pre-Stonewall America, when his sexuality was a criminal offense. To remain in the closet for sixty years is a painful existence. Hold him accountable. Condem his entire political and legislative history. But don’t loose site of your humanity. Using female pronouns to degrade a closeted gay man is stupid.
