Foreign media seems to think we live in some sort of dystopian society where everything has been open 24/7 and people die on the streets... Guest Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 Sweden did reach its goal of only doubling the numbers of their yearly flu deathswhich is 2000, so it was successful. Sweden prediction was accurate on how many deaths they will have (4000 deaths) even though everyone was telling them it would be higher (100,000 deaths). Norway now wants to do what Sweden did in the next coronavirus wave and said they overeacted. Long term speaking, what Sweden did is more realistic and practical considering we will live with this virus for years. Their economy also went up which is a plus.. Me and my closest friends all became sick the same week after one of us had been on vacation, so we figured it was COVID-19. Me and 2 more people out of the 6 got tested positive through our jobs, so yeah we all had it. I had a fever for 5 days, felt like I had glue in my lungs for about 1,5 weeks (i couldn't walk to my kitchen without getting winded lmao) and i lost all sense of taste and smell for 2 weeks. No coughing or anything. But honestly, I take very good care of myself and we have very little sickness in my family so I truly believe it strikes differently based on genetics and general immune system. One of the most densely populated areas in the world and we did pretty bad. Specially in areas like Madrid, Flanders, Ile-de-France and Grand-Est. If no measures had been taken, hospitals would’ve collapsed in all of those places (in France they almost did in some zones). Or see Mexico/ Brazil. The video I posted was reading the article I cant find saying Norway next fall will change its approach to lean towards Sweden. This does not mean they will be exactly like Sweden. The vaccine will take a year and a half best case scenario, it could take 2 to 3 years. Even when vaccines are available, it takes a whole year till people get vaccinated.
