You'd be surprised at how small the raw html files are though. Everything from 2012 to now is 170 MB  (which isn't a lot considering I'm allowed 1 GB for my extremely cheap hosting and my web app itself isn't more than 30 MB or so).

I was thinking you can store each song's run individually, then have a separate list of release dates, determined by when the data was last NaN/0. And you can just store the spins and disregard spins+ since you can derive them, although that might affect latency.

Yes but the issue with that is the sheer number of songs there are out there.

Drop songs that are >x years old, given that things change and numbers that are too old would be irrelevant for comparison. For example, we won't be looking up BR's radio updates almost ever.
