Spotify would have no idea whether ASIB would click with the GP on release week lol :billie:

It was a calculated risk, and it paid off. That's why you see changes in positions after a song's first week. SL set the bar low for Chromatica tracks.

ASIB had three songs on TTH :billie:

If she was big enough then, she would be now :billie:

Correct, 3

there was no delay, and Shallow came first and didn't fall well below requirements before album release

It would've been the Same as Chromatica if released 10th April. Her label probably put forward the 3 songs - the delay wouldn't have even been an issue but SL had no right to be on TTHS towards Chromatica release unfortunately, Spotify are happy to give hit songs a residency, as long as they're stable. Whether that be at 4m streams or 2m

And I do think of course interscope would've wanted another song on TTHs, but spotify probably said she's had her 3 for now :vegas:

I also fully believe this and I don't believe gaga's label are stupid, they knew SL couldn't sustain release and then the album more than 8 weeks later ala Dua and Weeknd, so that's why ROM/SC collabs were coming only 5 weeks later to join Ms. Stupid...

They took a risk picking SL as a song that is very radio friendly and homages Gaga, but they didn't account for SL's 'life support' having to be delayed to the degree it was

And that's a shame cause imagine if SL was on TTHS sill, the album could've done a bigger first week!

Hopefully I won't get sued for this. The second column is the current ranking and the number under TW is the spins. As you can see, the spin gap gets pretty steep now, so it'll be slow to rise up in ranks.

Did BEP x J Balvin have a radio deal or why did they lose almost 2800 spins this week? :deadbanana:

If we assume a +1500 spins increase for Rain On Me for the coming week, we can assume it would land somewhere at #12-#13 (if the songs decreasing now are also steadily decreasing, Toosie Slide would fall behind Rain On Me if it continues its downward trend for example)

Apparently ROM is the 3rd most added song on POP with 50 adds, behind Rockstar (66) and Like That (52).

Right now it's Eminem's last album but Chromatica hopefully overtakes it.

The good thing is a couple of songs there are also going recurrent soon or at least when they fall out of Top 10. This chart only includes current songs. That'll give a cute 2-3 position boost.

Pop radio FINALLY got its s**t together and started dropping it

Not over the fact that this atrocity blocked SL out of the Top 10

There's a misconception that Spotify should give hits with the huge streams the top spots on TTH. They, as a business, are not interested in what the current performance is. They are more keen on how many people they can get to stream the same song without relying on playlists, i.e. potential revenue.

For example, if a song relies purely on TTH to get streams (no one is actively looking it up), it's worthless because they can easily replace it with another song to bring in those same passive streams and additional active streams, plus future recurrent streams once the song's taken off the playlist.

Don't think Break My Heart and Savage have a higher potential revenue :billie:

Spotify probably has lots of data to support their decision.
