you really think the radio would play 911 if they couldn’t play g.u.y?:huntyga:

Big difference,  G.U.Y beat wasn’t that dance friendly it was blend in my opinion but 911 has a danceable beat and it has that 80’s funky town vibe.

If it were to be a single it needs a bit of the orchestra interlude interpolated into it, so you get that same punch.

Not really sure it would be a traditional hit for radio, but radio is lowkey becoming a non-factor with Covid going on and Billboard removing some of its points from the Hot 100 forumula. I think it would need a great video.

Ok but Poker Face is still a more cohesive bop than 911 and sounded a little more mature

I do like 911 but I would never compare the two

Oh you like 911 now? :ladyhaha:

the rest of chromatica other than sour candy and maybe alice/replay is not radio friendly in today’s climate. pop is not the dominant genre right now

I think it’s changing.

Weirdly enough, everyone I know, even straights LOVE 911.

Gaga's management was much more fcked up during G.U.Y. than it is now. It's much more organised rn.

It has one of Gaga's weakest choruses EVER, so I don't think so. The verses are really good tho.

You just don't fully understand the chorus yet.

OT: I could TOTALLY see this being a big song if it were the 80's, modern days however :green:

With the right promotional strategies, Gaga's team can give it a big boost.

Also, as much as I love the song, it's hindered by that "chorus", the lyrics are extremely hard to understand...which normally is fine but I'm not sure in a world where police brutality is at the forefront should have a white woman releasing a song with lyrics like "Pop a 911".
