This thread is really showing some of the racists on this site. How disgusting. Stop crying about jockstraps or a day less for sales, literally stfu. We are talking about PEOPLE'S lives, yes, the timing is wrong once again, but black people and their rights is something that the world needs right now. An album promo cycle can wait, a life? Not for long.

When will people learn to read the room, and think about how they'll respond before they hit Submit Reply?

There is a time and place for everything. Now isn't the time to be insensitive, crack jokes, and worry about a store that's coming back. Also to the ones that have and will bitch about sharing their "opinions". If you truly don't understand, then ****ing learn to use Google. It's not hard. It's not hard to do research.

I'm not getting any sleep tonight because I woke up to a beautiful life. I'm awake.

Katy Perry didn’t close her store

This site obsession with the woman is starting to become creepy, honestly.

If you're interested to know how she's been using her platform to help:

Now, can we focus on making a change instead of being petty?

Oh right, you care more about Chromatica sales anyway...

THIS. the amount of people that spew ignorance and don't know how to read the fu*cking room makes my head hurt. i'm tired of even commenting at this point and trying to fight them. how privileged do you have to be to not understand the value of human life and blood???

I get the idea, but doesn't make sense. All these companies doing this, were better off in keep business going and donating the proceeds to organizations that fight for criminal justice or black programs. Don't get it

Why are people being so insensitive?

I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and say they didn't know about the blackout tuesday thing.

'Cause I didn't know either :selena:

Most people here are really caring and knowledgeable. Don't let the few shortsighted posts make you think otherwise.

Also, welcome to our community :kara:

how is gaga shutting down her online shop for ONE day more important than america standing up over racism which has been the actual skeleton and centre of this $hit of a country? how can some people complain about her doing this when there are poc being killed till this day by police officers over NOTHING? is gagas 1 day sales more important than her showing that she stands WITH the protests and that she supports BLM? yall are tiring. actually no, yall are tired. jesus christ, putting stan wars and sales over such an important issue, shame on you. its times like this that i see the woman ive stanned for the past 12 years for what she is. a woman with heart, a clever woman who stands by whats right. and this makes me care about her more than any fame monster or chromatica or BTW would. BLACK LIVES MATTER (and they certainly matter way more than a f#&king online shop.)

To express how little they think of the movement and how important closing an online shop for a day is to them (and probably to you) than the message behind to show solidarity for the hurting black community? And why are you going around reacting YAAAS to their posts as if they made a point or something? If you want to, stand with the black community and the peaceful protestors during these times instead of lauding people online for expressing their ridiculous and questionable opinions. Now that would be courageous :triggered:
