LetsGetHigh 52,683
I literally just restarted Premium today. What a stupid ****ing move. They could use that profit of theirs and DONATE instead of revoking access to their users.
Kindness Ponk 2,994
The right to own your property (in this case the rightful ownership of a Spotify account) is a part of human rights. I don’t know why some of you must think “we can give up/ take away the right to property to fight for other human rights”. I admit it’s a bigger issue (racism) but this rumored act is just performative and will only make these leftists feel good about themselves.

Rioting is also looting, damaging property, destroying businesses, and hurting people. That's what I'm seeing from these riots. I'm more afraid to go to Atlanta right now then I was during Covid-19 a couple months ago. Most demonstrations are peaceful. And there are a plethora of videos on the Internet that display that looting is being encouraged by law enforcement, undercover cops, white folks, and the anarchist right wing. and to your last point, some people in this country live every day of their life in fear. Have some compassion. That’s all I’m asking.

Aga Gydal 3,158
To the children in this thread: There is power in being able to direct someone's attention toward a cause that needs it. A move like this is meant to make a statement, and remind us that a genuine crisis exists around us. Sit in those thoughts for a day. Yes, you're inconvenienced for 24 hours. Imagine being systematically inconvenienced since the 1600s.

The same people that are saying all the protests are violent but ignoring the peaceful protest, are probably the same ones who said the media is biased towards Bernie. Cuz you were acting like a hippie elitist. Not everyone can afford physical copies of albums, not everyone can afford a CD player, a record player, walkman or whatever device out there that is used for solely playing music. Some people only have their phones. Not everyone is in a first world country. You can be passionate about music, aka being a music lover, without having whatever you think people should have to be considered one. What matters is you have access to listen to music. It's pretentious to think someone isn't a music lover just cuz they rely on streaming services. Stop calling people 'kids' cuz you're the one who's acting like an edgy teenager here. I’m not sure how that would work, though. There are so many individual black-owned small businesses, bail out funds, etc. that are scattered across the country. I don’t see a mega database for places where people can donate. So how are they to organize those kinds of ads? You literally have to hold people’s hands and provide them direct links to where they can help. They won’t search them out on their own.
