That goes to 1000 doves for me. But I was disappointed in the generic (by comparison) instrumental. I still want to belt it out because I think the chorus is good and I like the message...but yeah. They cleaned this one up too much. People saying, "Well if you didn't listen to leaks, you wouldn't be disappointed" are basically saying you should live in ignorance and be fine with getting something not as good??? I don't get those kinds of statements. I think shortening the song was wise. I think taking the bridge out, which was quintessential Gaga, was silly. I really love Chromatica. With SL being a bop, followed by ROM, a bop as well, FW provides a very pleasant transition to FT. Even outside the album's sonic context, the song is beautiful. In the demo version I heard it went straight from 'im still something if i don't got a man, I'm a free woman" to "this is my dancefloor" - so we gained a dance break, no? The final sounded empty and just not as powerful as the demo. I didn't like the instrumental break either.
