This is my problem with people who oppose racism, but know nothing about it or how to solve it.

The problem is not with cops, its with the institution of cops that protects racism and cop violence, and if you try speaking out against it as a cop, you will face ramifications that could destroy your life. This also applies to most Americans who are not cops and work under a systemic racist corrupt system and have no other choice but to be part of it.

If you dont understand what you are fighting, you will never solve the problem..

ok i've stanned marina for 7 years but that is a harsh and rash thing to say about all cops

yes there are many cops who abuse power and are racist and we should be protesting right now because of the importance of this recent tragedy and to further movement of Black Lives Matter. But there are also great cops who are rational and do there job correctly, and are great normal people so this generalization makes her seem rash and slightly uneducated on the subject

Everyone defending cops needs to keep this energy to defend the innocent people being terrorized by them. 

Some of y’all are real silent on that but immediately get on your knees to lick those boots every time someone says something about the police.

Marina, sweetie. You claim to have studied psychology, but u present urself as a moron here. You cant lump mentally ill people together with cops, especially when people suffering from mental illnesses are the target of abuse by cops.

Besides that, becoming a cop has to do with motivational psychology and implicit motives. Marina... just get off social media again, youre a mess.

Well, I wouldn't say that they're 'trash' since, after all, they keep the majority of those living in the UK safe. If someone breaks into your house and tries to harm you, they'll be there and will try to stop it from happening. 

I don't feel comfortable labelling a group of people who, by and large, put their lives on the line for us. 

But, yes, there are racial biases in every country. I don't like it - I hate it. But I wouldn't discredit the entire work of the police because of that. I wish things were fairer and I live my life to the standard of equality I wish to see in and for others.

Specially when they kill themselves, right? The suicide rate among cops is high in many places. They need professional support from psychologysts, because I repeat, being a cop is hard. They are well prepared when they first join the police. They need to pass multiple tests in order to prove they are healthy physically and mentally. But reality sucks, and so their mental state should be monitored, let's say each three months, but we know that's not done.
