Philly is 20 mins from me and i saw a car wa son fire there earlier and a bunch of businesses were destroyed "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..." I mean we have been ****ed for years but this is just out of control. There are bad cops out there but tbh people who joined these protests have been making the movement look bad. When you block police cars from passing through the street getting in their way throwing stuff at their vehicles expect them to do something that may get you hurt. People are intimidating these cops, what's the point of blocking their way? I know if I was a cop in that situation I would be so scared. I don't agree with police violence but at times I can see why they have to use it. If we want protests to go well don't block traffic in one location for a really long time or if you see other so called protesters attacking police cars, say something. It all starts with little things like throwing stuff and chants like "f**kΒ the police or f**kΒ 12" I get some people are talking about racists police but those chants in the hood generally mean f**kΒ all cops who arrest you or anybody you know. Like it makes people feel disdain for cops they know nothing about, cops who may be good people. To keep these protests peaceful people need to start telling people to not block and attack cop cars. If people don't listen then they are not part of the movement because blocking and attacking police cars causes violence and if they don't want to process that, their not there for the movement.
