This is so ****ing scary. I wish Gaga would speak up more about this for her black fans. Honestly I’m disappointed she hasn’t done or said much.

What can she say! She is a white woman.

“White savior” tweets are not well received. She went through this in 2016 and got dragged hard

Taylor Swift, Halsey, Ariana, Dua are all getting praised for using their voice and platform. There’s a way to support the cause without inking it with the white saviour mark.

She literally released an album two days ago. :rip: It doesn't make sense to have your feed be tweet about Floyd - partying because of the album release - tweets about current situation - promoting the album. :rip:  It would look like she's using this situation for promotion.

Like i said she was very supportive in 2016 and got backlash. Anything she could say now will be taken as promo for Chromatica

She already posted 3 times about this. She even postponed her launch event in respect of what's happening. She has donated countless times for the movement. And she is probably actually doing something right now, rather than not doing anything but complain on the internet that celebrities aren't doing enough.

With COVID, everyone was bashing her for not saying anything while she was actually raising hundreds of millions of dollars towards the cause. Tweets don't save lives. Actions do.

Please, YOU go do something to help, YOU use your voice. Let people do whatever they want with their lives. And if that helps other people, GREAT.

Don't take this personally, I'm just saying this about everyone complaining about every celebrity either being too political, or not being political enough.

i have been using my voice and signing petitions, donating, sending emails, and more of the like.

my apologies though. i know tensions are very high right now when we are all trying to find ways to help in the best way we can, and while my frustration is mostly being directed towards the situation at hand, i recognize now that directing some of that energy towards doubt in her actions is unproductive.

same here, she's so quiet. where is she? this is out of character for her quite frankly; we know she's advocated for black lives before. she needs to use her platform

I don't get what the idea of Celebrities speaking out does for a situation. It's nice when they do but at the end of the day they're not facing the issues and struggles of these people. What needs to happen is for real people to speak out and make themselves heard. It'd understand if they were joining the protests like Tinashe but to think someone should be posting on Twitter often about the situation just because they're famous doesn't make sense to me.

Actually, the first waves of replies to Taylor Swift were saying that she "should keep to singing". There was even a post here about it.

Mark my words, if trump is re-elected an uprising 10x this size is going to erupt. I can see them having another civil war by the end of the year.

Anyone going to the protests, stay safe. I am sick of seeing this blatant mistreatment of POC in the States and here in Canada and I know that this is the only way to truly be heard by those who can create beneficial policies.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Oh now you care about the virus

You wanted no quarantine in the first place because your job was more important and to deflect you started going about mental health and suicide. You just want to be the opposition to anything and everything on here.

Anyways...BLACK LIVES MATTER

never said I didn’t want quarantine. Never said my job was more important.

Will this virus kill more black people than cops will this year?

THIS. However good Gaga's intention were, she'll be dragged worse than her other contemporaries that did the same.

Ancient Alien

You can protest and voice up as much as you want but out-of-control riots, vandalism and stealing will never be justified. If people are that angered, direct your anger towards the one who deserves it not half-assedly destroying innocent people’s lives and business. Who’s gonna take the responsibility to clean up the mess and rebuild the country back after all that?

If anyone who’s confident enough to break and build thing up again in no time, I’m 100% go for it.

Gaga did right. If she has that power, she should use it to influence the people who’s in charge aka politicians. Not tweeting on social media as it would feeds more anger into the riot and encourages more destruction (like Billie Eillish) She addressed it and it’s enough.

Seen pics of crowds of hundreds definitely not being anywhere near six feet apart. Masks hardly do anything if someone in the crowd has Coronavirus. It will spread regardless of masks if someone is infected unless everyone is wearing an N95 mask.

funny how you're worrying about this now when in many of your previous comments you called covid a simple flu and called for the quarantine to be over since, according to you, the economy will kill more people

This is a completely different situation. If you really put yourself out there as a social justice advocate (as she has) then you need to put your money where your mouth is. I’m honestly so disappointed she hasn’t done or said much besides a few vague tweets that doesn’t even address Black Lives Matter. I want to be proven wrong but for the past day she has remained silent.

She has spoken up, but at the end of the day it's already at the forefront of everyone's minds. If Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, or Britney Spears tweet about it all day it's not going to change that fact. Maybe use your voice to speak up instead of demanding others do?
