DSN had a slow start despite being on the Top of every playlist. She performed it everywhere and it still failed to climb the charts. Thanks to the Radio and being on the top of popular playlists like TTH for months the dong was able to stick around for long. I don’t think it’s organic because the album isn’t even doing well. They've been weirdly complimentary of Gag lately. Slant and Pitchfork have always been the harshest, followed by a certain critic (not going to name drop him (it's not Rich), since deranged stans might harass him) who has gone after Gaga and called two other main pop girls "fads"...but Pitchfork seems to have sort of changed their tune on her. I love FN, but I honestly don't get how it has a higher score than all of Bey's albums sans Lemonade, BTW, Lizzo, etc.

Pitchfork is notorious for giving pre-singles positive reviews but panning the album. I’m expecting somewhere in the 70s from them

Same with Joanne. Joanne started low. 50’s and went up

I’m expecting somewhere in the 70s from them A score in the 70s wouldn't be that bad from Pitchfork tbh. I think it's kind of interesting how a lot of the reviews are 4 out of 5 stars but do not seem to have a consensus on the strengths/weaknesses of the album. One review was "Chromatica is what ARTPOP wanted to be" and another was like "Chromatic falls short of the daring but messy ARTPOP". Also read a couple of reviews that said this was the best production on all of Gaga's albums and a couple of others that criticized the production. Gaga's always been a bit polarizing and considering it's a throwback to house...I suspect it will stay in the high 70s/low 80s

If we drop that score and the 60 which really are the outliers it would be AN EIGHTY-NINE. 89!!!! I swear they need to filter his biased ass opinions. Slant reminds me of how Pitchfork used to be....unnecessarily hash on women who didn't fit the "indie" type. But yeah, that particularly reviewer (who shall go nameless) is insane about Gaga. I think he's the only critic I've ever read who has come for Gaga's vocals.

Lemonade was extremely cohesive and tackled serious subject matters with near perfect production. Adele, Taylor, Gaga, Rihanna, etc. never breaking an 80 (all of them have at least one album that deserves a score in the 80s) is more of an issue than Lemonade rightfully earning a 92. In all honesty, I never listened to the album because I don't catch the hype, lol. And it comes late on Spotify, if I'm not mistaken. Will surely take a listen later.
