All of them were unprecedented for a POP artists... I see Chromatica as a regression tbh... why come back to a sound that is almost 10 years old now? ARTPOP had what Chromatica doesn't: personality Personality?? The whole album Chromatica is her most personal, talking about her mental illnesses, fears, struggles, love, etc. all exploding through these songs. It was mishandled and mismanaged resulting to poor execution of what gaga wanted it too be. The essence and ambition on ARTPOP was always there, wish it was given the proper visual and support. I agree, her old manager leaving her and the promotion for it didn’t do the album justice at all, it pretty much ruined all of it

ARTPOP is her second best album after TF/M. VENUS, DWUW, AND ARTPOP (the song) over Chromatica.
Enigma 7,182
ARTPOP could have had the same impact had it been not ****ed over Aura (Telephone part 2) as a lead? You would have all COLLAPSED ARTPOP app, Venus MV... Also ACT II The reason I stand by ARTPOP is for its potential. It was not her fault at all that any of this happened. Had her vision been executed, it WOULD have been one of the biggest pop eras ever. But Chromatica does sound like the ARTPOP she never could deliver. I see it as ARTPOP part II. I thought ARTPOP would never be dethroned but she took everything I loved from it and polished it and turned it into a well planned era... So I have no choice but to stan Chromatica. Those two albums are sisters
Cookie Tookie 10,546
I completely disagree. ARTPOP was all about breaking pop rules and pushing the boundaries of pop music. Chromatica is reentering the boundaries of pop music by putting a modern spin on classic dance music. They are two different endeavors, and I think she successfully accomplished both goals. shame 25,360
ARTPOP flopped so CHROMATICA could DELIVERRRRR angels forever, forever angels
Guest
I feel like Chromatica is ARTPOP's sophisticated older sister THRIVING in the city in her penthouse.

SummerGirl21 787
ARTPOP's concept was lost. I love ARTPOP. It has some of the Gaga songs that I listen to regularly. But she spent all this time talking about what ARTPOP meant, and you can't tell when you listen to the album. I KNOW what Chromatica is. You can feel it. It's a better crafted project as a whole. IMO, she did Rain On Me and Sour Candy to appease Interscope so she could make the music she wanted to make. Don't get me wrong, I like both songs, especially ROM. But it's clear to me that they exist for the GP. She got to do cool **** with the rest of it.
