question

Will this be her last pop album?

Maybe her last 100 percent total dance record but I don’t think that means she won’t still make songs that won’t make people dance or won’t make us happy. I see her going full instrumental (this one being made in a computer) and of course with a couple bangers. I would love a glam rock era to give the gays and the dads what they way

This isn't even a pop album :huntyga:

It's a dance album :firega:

No absolutely not.

Chromatica is like a new phase in her career. She's taking herself less seriously and it resulted in a great album.

I honestly think this is the album she comes back to pop after the traumatic ARTPOP era. So I see at least one or two more pop albums coming after it.

All we need is love

This is so dance.  Not the pop I expected from her, which is totally okay!

Here for an orchestral album given those interludes though!

Also here for: more jazz, metal, rock n roll, psychedelic, 90s female singer/songwriter vibes, etc.

Lol no, she won't ditch it for ever.

I do think that, as she cements her legacy, she'll feel less and less pressure to make music with commercial appeal, and maybe experiment and dip her toes into other genres even more than she already does. But she's always made it very clear that she likes pop, eletronic and dance music. I don't think she'll abandon it for good, she truly enjoys the thing - and I'm glad, because I do, too.

An instrumental album from her would be so next level for a popstar! I hope she does it someday. If Chromatica really smashes, maybe she can just compose piano/orchestral pieces or sth of the sort for LG7. I can smell the grammys already.

They’re are super old rockstars still doing rock music? She’ll 100% still be doing pop music for the rest of her life

I don't think it will be her last pop album ever, but it will most likely be her last for a long while. I get the vibe that pop music is exhausting for her.

She seems super excited to do other things and I'm excited for her.

:awkney: I’m just guessing, I mean I don’t mind her having a MDNA era at 40. I’m here for it

"I don't mind her having a MDNA era at 40"? What is that even mean? She's not Madonna, she has made her own path in music. I also just read your thread about how this is Gaga's "Britney Jean"..please stop comparing female artists, they are 3 completely different people. I don't think Gaga is the kind of artist that makes choices based on what other female pop singers have done.

🎼 It's dark but just a game. 🖤🎧

**** I didn’t mean without vocals but that would Truly be a slay. I just meant all the songs recorded with instruments instead of in a computer program!

but a full instrumental album? I’d live
