it's up to us to be activists. We cannot rely on celebrities to heal the world.

And we are lucky enough that Gaga is the kind of celeb who shares informations in general. She's spreading so much ideas, bringing things on the table already.

Same with the governments : they are failing us everyday !!!!!! This is not about Lady Gaga. We don't need her on this moment. It's all the people who suffer from racism who need us all. We need to be more kind, to mix more, to share our passion and cultures and lives.

Stop waiting for the Queen to come up at her window and nod with a tear this is not XXth century anymore at all.

hello hello baby.

Ugh why should her?

This kind of "u should tweet about ...issue" thing makes the tweet itself look hypocritical.

In 2020 part of her career is about addressing social issues via social media. No matter how shallow that is, it’s the truth. And those of you who are saying “she doesn’t need to,” know that this is fact, y’all most likely just absolutely don’t care about these kind of racial injustices.

I’m pretty sure she will ; i think at the moment her and her team are very much in work mode at the moment (probably trying to control a leak lol)

We do care but we just dont see why gaga should be obligated to tweet about it

I do agree... but keep in mind the last time Gaga spoke up about race she was dragged by a black person. I think she learned her lesson and stayed in her lane.

A tweet will not change anything. Somz celebrities are very hypocrite, they will talk about it on social media and say "omg how sad, so terrible" but they don't care in real life, they don't donate money, don't take any actions against this etc. Gaga is not obliged to adress every sad and outrageous event that are going on, and even when she adresses it she gets draged.

If my memory is right, I think she dedicated a song on Joanne to Trayvon Martin when he was killed? Angel Down?

but to address OP I agree but disagree. Some people think “celebrities shouldn’t address real-world issues” but when they do they get dragged as well. Although I’d love for her to say something, I’m not prepared for her to say something about it.

And when she does she gets criticized for not promoting the album. Just like it happened with COVID-19. She delayed the album and most “fans” went ballistic.

She will, in her own way when she feels it's right. She always does.

We're only just getting into the heat of things with protests around the country, but I think it's very irresponsible if Gaga doesn't use her platform. Yes it's a global issue and yes many people are aware but she IS and activist and activism requires constantly putting in the work. As a Gaga stan of 10 years I know she puts in the work and puts her money where here mouth is but it's important for her to really acknowledge situations like this. It shows solidarity and the simple tea is - a part of her fanbase consists of white gays who can do so much better at supporting BIPOC communities. That's just a fact. I'm not here to start drama but I think Halsey was really right about this and made a big point!!

Reminder that this is an opinion on how I think she should use her platform. If she wants to be a Kindness Punk well, to me, being an activist to this degree is what that means. It's sticking to who she's said she is and if her music and CHROMATICA is healing, please Gaga bring attention to ways we can help the black community.

This is not the time for silence. Period.

While this is such a humonguous and important thing and a battle that needs to be fought for, I honestly think that it's a bit harsh of you to say it's irresponsible of Gaga if she does not react. Gaga is an activist and Gaga has helped so many throughout the world with different issues, but Gaga cannot be your all-round-24h-saint that will pitch in with every single issue in the world and carry its weight on her shoulders. Give her a breather she deserves it!

xoxo

Y'all saying all of this as if she hasn't raised a huge amount of money (from rich corporations!!) for COVID relief just last month. Gaga is usually more about actions than words and whenever she decides to tweet about something like this it usually takes a bit of time for her to do it. I'm sure she's gonna speak up about this issue, maybe not today but soon.
