PlasticHo

Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande’s "Rain On Me" (Interscope) exploded in its first day of release. The track's first week total will debut in the Top 10 among the year's biggest songs. The superstar collaboration will be the second biggest Pop debut of the year, following Grande & Justin Bieber’s "Stuck With U," which opened with 290k.

"Rain On Me" also earned the biggest Spotify global streaming debut of the year, surpassing "THE SCOTTS." It opened at #1 with 6.7m streams.

Among the milestones Gaga & Ari hit on day one: #1 Spotify U.S., #1 YouTube, #1 on iTunes in 26 countries and the biggest first-day streaming debut ever for an all-female collaboration on both Spotify charts.

Gunna and Dirty Hit/Interscope's The 1975 will score the week’s top debuts on the album chart.

New Release Projections:

Gunna (Young Stoner Life) 110-130k total activity, 2-5k albums

The 1975 (Interscope) 55-65k, 35-45k

Agust D (BigHit) 30-35k, 16-18k

Key Glock (Paper Route/EMPIRE) 18-22k, 1-2k

Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande "Rain On Me" (Interscope) 245-260k song activity, 85-95k sales, 18-20m on-demand audio streams.

I'm not good at chart figures, but is #1 on lock?

If not, who is our main competitor?

In a world where you could he anything, be kind.

The Bieber collab was discounted to boost sales, so there is that.

Also they need to really sort out the weight of album sales vs streams because no way in hell do the 1975 deserve to chart lower after selling 40k more than Gunna. What a joke.

I'm kinda shocked at that. This is Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, kinda disappointjng but I dont care that much. It ain't going #1 anyways, they always over-predict.

I'm pretty sure they said SWU debuted higher in its first week, not that it will do 290K this week.

I think the streaming numbers are closer to 30M, but we'll see!

Does anyone know the pure sales they used to predict Stupid Love?
