True. But I'm pointing out what you said about their opinions being 'facts'. You can think the song is basic, but just because you 'think' it's basic, and that you agree with them, doesn't mean it's a fact. It's an opinion. Learn the difference. :huntyga:

an opinion or a belief is always a fact in the consciousness of the person , I cannot unsee the basicness of the song for instance, someone who thinks Middle Easterns are terrorists will open Fox News and perceive a proof/fact of his belief/opinion while someone open-minded will open the TV and see beautiful examples and stories about the beauty of human diversity. If I believe in UFOs and see a strange light in the sky, I'm going to say it's an extraterrestrial object, if I don't believe in UFOS, I'm gonna say it's just a plane.

You see what you believe, not the other way around.

Your beliefs shape your perception of the world, in that sense, there is no difference between facts and opinions, opinions are always facts for you.

But well in that case it's just a semantic problem, maybe you should go " learn the difference " sweetie.

What you were trying to point out is that one belief/opinion/fact can coexist with another, on that we agree.

I saw a bit of hate on instagram. It's almost a kick back against gaga like its cool to not like her cuz of the "i'm not like other gays" mentality :saladga: We get it girl you're so "different" and not liking gaga makes you "better" than us

If anyone else released it it’d be praised to the high heavens by those same ppl

Aditionally, since Gaga is such a gay icon, I think some gays who have internalized homophobia hate on her. “Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I have to like her!”

Ok this is really accurate.

Basically just saying it’s basic. Why do they not just ignore it? I don’t get it.

To be fair, but the same logic applies to you posting about it here. :spin:

Backlash from gays will do nothing. They uplift artists that can’t get a hit to save their lives. Obviously if their opinions had any impact ROM would be bombing and their pots and pan’d music wouldn’t fail to chart.

I was just intrigued by the suddenly vocal nature of people who I wouldn’t think cared at all about Gaga at all. And the fact that they’re all queer people.

Honestly, some people genuinely may not like the song, which is totally fine.

I wouldn't spread their negativity though, because while you unfortunately had to see it, it's better to not make others in the fanbase aware of it too and feel bad as well.

bunch of Mo’s did the same thing when Telephone and Alejandro videos came out - they think they are cool for not liking it cuz it makes them different and secretly they jam to it every chance they get. People too afraid to just like what they like and who aren’t comfortable in their own skin so they rebel against anything that reminds them of the parts of themselves they don’t like. It’s like they said when the spice girls were big - best selling band of all time at the time and all that but “no one I know listens to them” - people are too concerned with what other people think to be honest with themselves. It’s sad really cuz it’s so opposite of Gaga’s message.

If something is successful, people must immediately dislike it if they're insecure. This is part of the human psyche that is more commonly known as "keeping up with the Jones's". People always want what someone else has got, they are playing an eternal game of one-upmanship.

This means that if someone liked ROM, the next person will come along and like something that is going to outrank it to some degree - in this case, I imagine it'll either be Taylor Swift or Beyonce nonsense. This is because they need to say "you like this thing that's good, but I like this thing that's better!" and the only way their tiny little underdeveloped minds can express that is by putting down the thing that someone else likes. Why? Their thought processes are very flawed, but their brains tell them that they can either express the positives of their song, or the negatives of yours  - and since they can't express the positives of something vs your song (because it's new and untested) they will talk sh1t about ROM in order to bring it down, due to insecurity about being perceived as someone who is a "sheep" or who likes something "2nd best".

In short - these people are puppets of their own minds, and their minds are making them look like fools.

We don't care about them.

They are a flop, and we are winning.

Not everybody has that.

Do you like Rain on Me? If the answer is yes, that's all that matters.

Let them hate.

We can't stop winning.
