JRCF29 8,219
Please refer to it as a sleeper not a “grower” Don't Call Me Gaga
half psychotic 79
It was an instant bop for me. As excited as I am for new Gaga music I wasnt particularly excited for ROM, since I'm pretty impartial to Ariana Grande (though I won't deny shes talented). However I absolutely LOVE this song and have been playing it on repeat since the night it dropped.

Patrick Garcia 312
3 minutes ago, Antonoff said: Well i think it's totally reasonable to hate a song at first listen and then liking it in time, happened to me many times also it's not weird at all to like a song because of its video, visuals help to get conext and another vision to get the message for instance, look what you made me do by taylor swift was an okay song for me but after watching the video, it made me understand better the whole concept behind it and i started to like the song even more I respect your opinion, but the thing is that I don't think "context" (I'm assuming that's what you meant by "conext") is that important to like a song. I'm more interested in melody and arrangement (and lyrics too, but not that much as melody and arrangement). And, when context is not important for you as the melody and production are, I think it's more easy for you to like a song at first listen. Of course a video enriches the experience, in fact I think if Stupid Love had a better video, a darker one like Rain On Me, people wouldn't be so ill-willed with the song. gumzy3000 7,437
It took me 2 listens to say that it was a BOP. I still consider that instant and I stand by my words. Also, the music video compliments it so well and I think if someone was to listen to it first with the music video, it would make a stronger first impression trolly troll troll
Butters Stotch 5,364
For me, it was an instant bop. For many it's a grower. FIND YOUR FREEDOM IN THE MUSIC
Rbr 421
Its an instant bop and already a classic pop duet. The video was the cherry on top, I am obsessed about it.
2School4Cool 6,454
I loved it from the first listen! I will say it did grow on me even more after a couple of listens, though. See The Best In Everyone
Twitter 14
Rain On Me is definitely a grower. It took me few replays to get into it and the video made me love it more.
AgusPop 4,162
is this a real question? it's a BOP!!
ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY 6,272
I certainly liked it upon first listen but loved it with more listens. Then the video just slayed my very existence
Awrah999 4,391
Both, but more of a grower for me just because I did get used to the horrible quality demo and more importantly the song itself is so layered and nuanced that it’s hard to appreciate all of that with just one or two listens. This song is perfect for replays because you can really discover new things with every play, and yet there is a baseline extreme catchiness to the melody and phrasing that really makes it infectious. adamsenigma 9,520
At first I was like, mh this is a bop but doesn't go anywhere really, but, unlike other songs, it only took one more listen for me to LOVE IT, i put my earphones and then I was suddenly smiling and dancing out of nowhere, like literally I don't even remember wanting to dance, I just instantly did. This song is absolutely a BANGER and I love every second of it. It's just son uplifting, joyful and catchy, and I dare to say, one of Gaga's best songs. FFXIV WhiteMage 6,007
Grower. It reminded me of my first reception of Bad Romance. I was like cool but weird because I haven't listened to that kind of style before, then I watched the music video and I was blown away
