I recently ordered the born this way vinyl box set from the UK online store and I was just wondering what the system is for the numbering? I know it is a random number, but do the numbers get sent out per person ordering? Like first person to order gets 1 etc. or is it completely random? Like 1st person to order could get 3000? Just wondering if anybody knew?

I'm pretty sure its sent out in order (e.g. 1st person to order gets 1) but didnt her US store (Bravado) also sell the vinyl boxsets?? so therefor, Bravado US and Universal UK would have the different numbers which means that purchasers may think they are the 2nd purchaser but they may be actually the 102nd purchaser because of the two different stores (Just an example), so as far as I know, each store will send them out in order..

That kind of makes sense. Do we know who got no. 1? And does anyone have no. 3000?

The first number(s) go to the artist(s). So it's hard for a fan to get the first 5-10 numbers. And the just sets go out so meaning that they don't work on the numbers. They don't look at the numbers. A fan can get the last number. But when it gets sold? Nobody knows until the management says it's sold out. It;s more a rarity an item released as limited edition has no number&gets sold. But this, really barely happens. You need to get lucky as an item often has more value(depends on item, the way it looks etc., normally between 10-50$).
