It clarifies nothing. It’s a blatant attempt to dismiss an unfathomable, inexcusably racist comment, one that Black Twitter is currently eating Biden alive for. You pinned it because you’ve been defending Biden on this forum for months and you’re using your power as a moderator to try to downplay the 400th disaster that Biden has created for himself in the last month alone. You’re not fooling anyone.

:billie: Y'all are great at making me sound like a bond villain, please finish this short story! I love fiction.

The topic at hand was BLACK MEDIA and BLACK VOTERS. His statement assumes most, if not all, black voters will vote for him and implies he doesn't need TO DO anything or come back to black media. He implies they will vote for him anyway.

THIS, is already problematic in itself, let's dive into the last part:

"if you're unsure about voting for me, you ain't black"

Scenario 1: He means "real black people" will vote for him and those who do not aren't real black people - PROBLEMATIC

Scenario 2: He means those who have trouble aren't black - PROBLEMATIC - he runs the risk of offending others who are not black, perhaps white rural voters, and he runs the risk of pissing off black voters who are now basically made to feel like he will do nothing because he "already has" their vote

No scenario makes him look good. He need to learn to shut his mouth and speak coherently.

This reeks of "both sides" false equivalency.

It's not the "both sides" false equivalency. However, Democrats are increasingly getting to a point where they're behaving similarly, and it's VERY concerning and should be concerning to anyone who cares about putting someone competent in office.

It is a false equivalency. Republicans have stood by Trump through mountains of BS and Biden has been a saint in comparison.

What are you even talking about? Bond villain? You’re literally just a random dude with so much time on your hands that you managed to become a moderator on a pop music forum, and you’re using the advantages that come with that to downplay racist comments from a prominent politician with a long history of racist comments and racist policy.

Again, you’re not fooling anyone. You can’t just silence criticism of this awful man because he’s a democrat. :air:

Rape allegations are of a saint. I've heard it all now.

BIDEN APOLOGIZES:

"Former Vice President Joe Biden apologized for remarks he made Friday morning insinuating that a black radio host “ain’t black” if he had questions about voting for him.

“I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy,” said Biden on a Friday afternoon call with Black business owners. “I shouldn’t have been so cavalier. ... No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, their religion, their background.”

Rape allegations aren't of a saint, in comparison. I think they're both awful things to be accused of. The word saint doesn't describe any of the two men.

Biden: "No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, their religion, their background.”

I think this makes it VERY CLEAR what he meant. The pinned post on here is inaccurate.

Saint in comparison. Big distinction there.

You're comparing Democrats and Republicans "allegiance" to presidential candidates. When the two of them are compared side by side, it's quite obvious that they're not equal. You're creating a false equivalency between the two of them, that's all I was pointing out.
