American glam rock band Neon Trees released their new single 'New Best Friend' of their upcoming 4th studio album 'I Can Feel You Forgetting Me', out June 26th.
The theme of the album will be the modern day phenomenon of ghosting.

In my opinion, 'New Best Friend' is an AMAZING single and if their first album in 6 years will have similar sounds, we're in for something great!

For those who don't know/remember Neon Trees, refresh your memory by streaming their biggest hit, 2010's 'Animal':

Lead singer Tyler Glenn is also a huge Gaga fan and has a BTW skull tattoo:

Looove Neon Trees. Went to their concert in support of Pop Psychology, and it was one of the best I've ever attended. If you can see them live, go.

They are a great group.  Interesting about the theme of ghosting!  From a psychological perspective, to me, ghosting is really about communication, attachment and not being able to offer or receive rejection.  There is a healthy and polite way to communicate not being interested in someone -- with authentic reasons as to why.  However, society is starting to seemingly utilize anxious/avoidant attachment styles and strategies in these areas. Kind of concerning.
Can't wait for their take on this topic!  Though it is slightly alarming he was glorifying it a bit in the "I Can Feel You Forgetting Me" trailer.

I've been wanting to see them for some years now, but they haven't come to my country very often yet. Now Googling I see they came as support act in 2011.

I Googled today to see if they'd maybe already announced tour dates for the new album and then I was like "oh, wait, corona :awkney:"

At the risk of going too off topic... I know the pie scene is divisive, but I really feel like it was one of the best on-screen depictions of depression I've ever seen.
