First of all that line is from an old song and it’s about alcohol and not a man. Secondly, If the songs sound the same to you it doesn’t mean that they’re the same. Just because you like some generic **** and fast tempo it’s not like you should be proud of your taste honey. You look as basic and edgy as you think lana looks, when u try to hate somebody just because your generic taste can’t handle music that gets one of the biggest score on a pop album rankings in a whole decade. People like you are really the worst thing on earth and I don’t care if I get a WP for that but you’re dumb and blind af. Fu*k u

I’m sorry you feel so personally attacked. I know it’s hard when someone has a different opinion than yours but when you result to just insulting me instead of providing a thought response based on fact you kind of make yourself look like an idiot. Have a nice day and try not to bust a vein in your head from thinking everything is an attack on you. :poot:

She is? What church does she associate with? I thought she wasn’t religious anymore.

She's been papp snaped a  few times going to that Hillsong megachurch (the same one Biebz goes to)

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

Someone is looking for attention I see :reductive:

Guess that's what you gotta do when you can't be relevant or grab headlines off your own hustle. Gotta start drama and a mess just to get people talking about you when announcing a new album

they also found laveyan satanism books in her home, so i’m guessing she likes to explore religions. after all didn’t she study metaphysics in college?

I'm sure she's fined with one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2019 and her 2 grammy nominations :lmao:

I mean, she practically admitted she only made that album to get the critics approval but ok

First off, I'm happy that the album has a release date and it's coming out before the poetry now. Secondly, you lot are too much. I have never seen so much bad attempts to read between the lines. All she's saying is that the current successful females (she can't help it if they're not white, what does that have to do with anything?) are getting praised for making songs that touch on themes that she has always been criticised for. She rightfully feels a bit short-changed. I notice too that females being open about their feelings in music, even if they're raw and unfiltered, is getting accepted now in a way that it didn't before. But Lana had to get dragged when she did the same thing. She isn't complaining that she isn't getting hits, she complaining that critics looked at her music differently and there's double standards going on. Lana has never been about the charts, in case you haven't noticed.

Am I thrilled by Lana's distancing from feminism? No. But do I think Lana's an imperfect human like the rest of us, who's actually a feminist at heart? Yes. And she's essentially doing what Taylor Swift did a few years ago, when she called out critics who say she's oversharing by writing about her relationships in her music but male artists are praised when they do the same thing, only, Lana's speaking from just the female side here, which is so rarely done, but needed. You didn't seem to have a problem when Taylor said it. Guess it's because she didn't mention any WOC.

It's infuriating how people are prepared to put a person's entire argument aside because there's some tiny, maybe, possibly a chance that one line they said could have meant something unsavoury. Lana remains her talented, awesome, iconic self regardless.

But Kehlani doesn't have a #1 hit.

Is she double-dragging her? :selena:

God Control

Another day, another proof that victimhood is a currency especially nowadays. The easiest way to try to win a debate or to discredit somebody is to somehow find a way to make it about race. Like let’s dig in and find something because we don’t have anything against Lana, so let’s make it about race so that we have a laughable excuse against her. Pathetic, really.

Midnight Summer

Lana had a point, but she ruined it by being petty and dropping names she had no business dropping. Also, Lana girl I love you but critics weren't bashing you for being "too feminine" or "too vulnerable." They were criticizing you for songs like Lolita or Cola where you really do romanticize/fetishize some really ****ed up relationship dynamics.

Also...this. Writing a love song inspired by this pig is just...yikes.

Are we gonna pretend you didn’t mention ‘black women’ specifically? You’re embarrassing. I’m done conversing with an airhead biggum like you. Byeeeee :bye:

Thank you so much for this. I’m truly disappointed. Wtf Lana (I’m a huge fan too)
