Well... I don't know how I feel about that, I kinda agree with her about music industry being corrupt some times but I think woman has the liberty to be sexy and do what they want with her life and particulary with music so..., and I wonder why she mentioned Ari, Cardi, Nicki and Beyonce? I find it unnecessary :oprah: (and basically she is a white american privileged woman dragging black woman :gum:).

I hope this does not become to some kind of drama because we know that Nicki and Cardi don't keep silent on social media :gum:

But hey :ally:, she didn't dragged Gaga at least, I think she likes her before all the rivality (?) they had (allegedly)

I think she’s done enough dragging Gaga in her lifetime :trollga:

Seriously speaking, showing vulnerability and not being ashamed of your weaknesses is just a brave act that only a few ppl understand! I'm proud of my weaknesses too, so, I'm definitely related to her music! :lana:

Also, she worked with multiple men who explicitly sing or rap about sex... is it only bad when women do it?

That's not what Gaga is teaching you. You failed.

She says be kind. She never said anything about selective kindness. I don’t have spare kindness for people like you who are blinded by their white privilege. Sorry not sorry. :fthis:

Does it matter? Damage is done

I don't know what to think about this. In my opinion she did glamorize abuse and she even acknowledged that when she decided not to sing Ultraviolence anymore. There's a clear difference between singing about traumatic events and glamorizing them. And in my opinion she used to glamorize them.

Kind of thought she matured when she gave us her magnum opus but apparently not. Didn't see this coming.

Before I say anything I adore Lana so this isn’t a hate . I’m going to have to agree with this Brecht, she’s always glamorized it since the very start. I do remember she spoke about not singing Ultraviolence as well. To be fair she’s made me feel uncomfortable in the ride & god & monsters video (obvious reasons) . Then dating a cop thing and now....mentioning not being a feminist, It’s 2020 & Weird basic human rights you know? :deadbanana: like equal wage between men and women. That said she’s from a conservative millionaire family so that’s probs not a issue.

Interesting....she’s mentioned those exact names.

I really understand where she is coming from. She paved the way for a lot of different sounds and personas in the early 2010s bland music industry. And she is constantly scrutinized for her aesthetic at the same time seeing all this new alternative artists being praised. She truly is the martyr of pop culture.

She need to stop attacking women, it's tired at this point.

word. and people are defending the post saying “she isn’t attacking them, just pointing out that theyre allowed to write whatever blah blah” and it’s like...that is the point she’s making. yeah. but the way she worded it, the need to call out these women (mostly women of colour) by name, the way she talked about “having sex and taking their clothes off”, it just came off as very...slandering. and immature. fake feminist-y.
