This album is sounding very much like ARTPOP - dance bop after bop, each hiding a lot of pain underneath the music - just further down in the healing process this time (whereas ARTPOP presented fresh wounds). I think dope is so painfully emotional, whereas I can see something like 1000 Doves, or possibly Sine From Above, acting as a dope-esque ballad, but not as dark in tone. I love dope so much. I actually have trouble listening to it sometimes, not because it’s bad, it’s just that it is so good, it can make me sad just by listening to it. I’m think we’ll get something like a Speechless or Yoü and I in that it’s a more upbeat ballad-like thing. The album is really meant to be in a very particular order, almost like a live performance with a story. I think we'll get something less dark but also ballady. What IWBWY could've been maybe. But I honestly wouldn't mind another Dope. It really has to come from an authentic place though.
