The messages of each song are pretty deep. Love my sad bops! literally... who knew Free Woman is about sexual assault and coming to terms with all trauma and letting it not define you or the "I'd rather be dry" is about alcohol End Racism Now

But then she came to the realisation that he would never be 100% healed like the way Gaga wanted with Joanne. And that feeling of shame and disappointment led Gaga to be in a depression and "chain smoking" because of how depressed she was. She now realises things are different now and she can look at positive ways of trying to "temporarily" heal her dad. End Racism Now
Miel 15,009
Played the chords that were written down and... did she mean to write down "D" instead of "Dm"? I mean, it still sounds fine, but the D major being the fifth makes more "standard" pop sense, you know? If she really is going for the minor fifth, then... I'm kind of excited? edit: my terminology might be incorrect! 3 points in and ready for more

I think it was a capital m as in dominant. The song looks to be in G Major which would make DM the dominant V chord. but who knows? After all, it's called Chromatica - I would love some musical chromaticism. Check out iTunes data & graphs at CHARTPOP.live

She now realises things are different now and she can look at positive ways of trying to "temporarily" heal her dad. I wouldn't say meaningless, per se. But, I do think it makes the album all the more tragic, retroactively. It was a soft attempt from Gaga to write about generational family trauma to honor her father. However, what she learned from her attempt is that you can never really truly heal somebody else completely- and maybe you'll never truly heal yourself completely, either. And then the journey continues to move forward from that. Thus, Chromatica. Can't one thing have 2 or more objectives? Yeah, the main one wasn't accomplished and she felt really bad, but not because Joanne didn't do anything, but because she realized nothing would ever fix her dad. I'm pretty sure the album led her to a deeper understanding of her father's pain We're far from the Shallow now
