Plus how will a couple extra seconds make a difference? People just need a reason to meltdown lmao MTE liddos stuck in 2011 where they think gaga silent cause shes not doing fallon and z100 interviews (which do nothing anymore) and think she is gonna do 4m long songs and 9m long marry the night MV. that's not adapting to the times. Gaga is a pop star who works with bloodpop and max martin so why would she be doing 4m songs Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight
Melodean 8,329
I really hope that the tracks are quality and not too rushed because I really do prefer a longer track, The Edge of Glory is 5:21 and takes you on a journey. For me it would just be nice to not get through an album so quickly and enjoy each track a bit longer and enjoy the album longer, but i’m still excited though! https://open.spotify.com/track/7q1GGm2mBlC9hPWige0C6e?si=6b5319d0e3b44fa6

Quality and quantity is a real thing and it applies here. 43 mins is standard for an album, stop complaining. Longer songs are not better. If the songs **** and it drags our, then, it's ****. Not what I’m saying at all... My point is that using TFM is a bad comparison because if it had as many songs as Chromatica, it would be over an hour long, so holding TFM up as a gold standard of length is inadvertently supporting the longer track argument. Personally I don’t mind a song’s length so long as the length feels justified, whatever it is. Concern arises when I see an entire album full of unusually short tracks for an artist’s standards, which could suggest that the artist has cut out too much to make an album more streaming friendly. Not saying this is the case with Chromatica, it may be that the songs are just better as short songs, but that’s why people are concerned about the length of the album. 08, 09, 11, 13, 16,

TF had very similar track lengths. This is a pure dance LP just like that. It suggests a streaming friendly strategy, but I don't think that's the primary factor in to why the track titles are shorter. I think it's to do with the genre. I'm beyond understanding when it comes to people complaining about track times and album length. Streams count after 30 seconds, I don't see how making all the songs shorter would help on a significant scale??
