Stupid love was close to charting on year end but.. Welp.. Doesn't look like it now 

I'd say SL is more like somewhere in between Judas and PI... MR honey..

I'm hoping for more weeks on BB with the ROM smasha

Yeah but it has longevity, it's still in top 3 and it has good sales and streams. Being #1 is not necesserly what determeniates the year end position, a song must have a great longevity to get closer to the #1 song of the year. Last year 7 rings was one for 8 weeks but it ended up under "without me" by Hasley and "wow" by Post Malone, bc it didn't get a great longevity althought it's way more iconic.

SL is likely re-entering the chart thanks to Drake's bomb getting away + remix already sold more than 2k copies on Itunes US + ROM and Chromatica release (ME! by Taylor Swift was getting around #90 when it was spared jumping 20 positions after YNTCD and 40 positions after album release)

that's also why Born This Way closed at #19, it had the same longevity of Applause and Million Reasons which is pretty tragic to think about in retrospective 

anyway I think Blinding Lights will have the same longevity of Don't Start Now, so the latter will close with a few more points imo

There's a chance it can re enter when ROM enters the chart a week before album.. But not sure

I honestly feel like we are overhyping ROM way too much only by a 30 second snippet. We don't know how to verses will sound in the final version (the demo one sounds like a Calvin Harris reject, I'm sorry) and I hope we get some type of buildup to the chorus, which is something the demo lacks,it goes straight to the drop with that annoying deep male voice. Besides, it's a dance song, and we all know dance music is not that well received by the GP unless is something like really catchy and Tik Tok worthy  I can see it inside the top 10 for a couple of weeks tho, hopefully more than 3 weeks but that's wishful thinking.
