How Confident Are You That ROM Will Go #1?

Also, I’m scared the amazing chorus with ari will only appear towards the end of the song and the other 3/4 will have the chorus that goes « rain on me » in a deeper voice over and over again, which, is not that great imo

There is a huge fight for #1. The useless rapist is strong with his streaming force, while Savage and Say So got radio on their side. Don't overestimate the coming duo. Don't Call Me Angel didn't even made the top10.

There's also drake and the weeknd? Or are those just rumours

Uggggh! In THEORY this has everything going for it but I don't want to get my hopes up. Stupid Love should have done way better. I thought Perfect Illusion would have lasted longer. Never in a million years would I have predicted Million Reasons and Shallow doing well. But here's hoping!!! Ariana will def help with streaming. REALLY hoping the video is better than Stupid Love and that it'll have some of the magic of her earlier vids :)

I’m pretty confident. The hype is huge. There’s not much competition also. No big hit from Adele, Rihanna, Katy, Taylor, etc

I was worried about Tekashi at first. But I think the success of Gooba was due to complete shock and a surprise video. I don’t think he’s be releasing a video on Friday, just a track.

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

@TheCureinMalibuis confident which kinda makes me confident however I've heard the song is noisy, but will be well received on radio - hence its impact date.

In this case I think we will definitely get a top 5 hut then more of an applause chartrun - IF callouts aren't horrendously bad

Nothing beats a #1 but a Gaga single that spends over 8 weeks top 10 has been such a rarity... A #1 with Applause chart run would be amazing. I wouldn't even mind it going #1 - #10 as long as it clung on top 10 for more weeks :vegas:

What's ur reasoning on impact date?

Are u saying impact date being date of release shows they are confident radio will pick it up right away?

Omg. If those two release a collab the #1 spot is over :rip:

Everyone has super high expectations for this song and its performance. I don't know if this is necessary a very good thing. But we have Ariana on track, and a music video in the same day, and the album boost...SL debuted in Top 5 while being leaked a whole month prior and everyone already losing interest. In the worst case it's gonna peak at #3.

50% tbh.

That's gonna depend on Friday's surprise release.

Always afraid of Taylor Swift (I'm anxiously waiting for her tonight,  if she announce something after the concert) and other big artists. 6ix9ine doesn't scare me.

Same

I loved stupid love (the song) but the video looked really cheap to me :rip:

Like I loved the concept, the dancing and the pink hair...

but the clothing and props looked like it was bought at the dollar store almost :air:

I think it depends on perception

If people don't like it much I think it will debut strongly just cuz of the names attached to it and hype but quickly fall off. The success would be front loaded

But if perception is good and radio picks it up and streams hold, it definitely should not only have stability but also remain high up the charts for a while

Curious to see how it holds up

Exactly. It's all about stability. I actually think it well def debut top 5 or at least top 10 but look at what that meant for Stupid Love. Nada. Zero impact. For what was an excellent disco/club-ready catchy radio-friendly song. I have a little hope though!

Someone mentioned a rumour of a Drake and Weeknd collab release

If that were true id be even more concerned with that than Taylor Swift

And here in Canada Drake & The Weeknd dominate charts even stronger than in US because people like their Canadian artists (there's been times I flipped stations and 5 radio stations were playing Drake at the same time, it's insane)

No way in my Country even Gaga and Ariana could beat a Drake song (even without a Weeknd collab)

Yes

It's debuting on Friday which means it technically has two tracking weeks

Apparently radio stations already have it too

I think I'm getting at is they are pushing this hard on radio WW - more than SL which impacted later, and they pulled the plug on early . Feels like ready to get their true radio hit to build on SL's good work

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight
