Thought ARTPOP will forever have a special place in my heart, as it was my first Gaga album era to experience. Born This Way she was doing a lot of black and white photoshoots, dark looking videos and was trying to look as grotesque and alien as possible with the facial horns. Chromatica is very colorful so far; the photoshoots and music video, and she's embracing looking pretty and feminine. In a way, this is the era I always envisioned Born This Way to look like. I have a feeling it's going to resemble ARTPOP more, based on Stupid Love (the music video looks and overall vibe/beat of the song) and some of the titles - which sound interesting (Alice, Sour Candy, Enigma, Fun Tonight, Plastic Doll). However, the album cover absolutely gives me BTW vibes. So I'm thinking, at least aesthetically and lyrically, it might be more in line with BTW (especially with songs like Free Woman, Rain on Me). Miel 15,009 Posted May 17, 2020 Share Posted May 17, 2020 didn't gaga actually help produce btw tho jk lmao on a more serious note, I feel like a lot of the "alien" and more grungy "punk" themes are reminiscent of BTW. Even SL's primary chord progression is essentially the same as the primary in BTW. But as far as the rest of the album goes, I think this album isn't as tied down to BTW's generally central theme of minority empowerment. I may be wrong! I'm must basing this off of the info we know as of late.
