Well sorry, I honestly did not read what they wrote, I only red the title and made a quick comment.

You should really read the OP before you comment in a thread negatively :saladga:

Can you be a little more sensitive? Please? For you, it’s just a show. For a lot of people–including myself–it’s our dreams, our hopes, and our jobs. Our future seems to crash down. This is painful for a lot of people. Show some empathy. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I edited my post and apologized to you, go read it

Apology accepted. Please, next time, make sure you read before reacting and spreading unnecessary negativity. Specially in these moments we’re living. Thank you.

I follow Broadway a lot. This cannot be good news for a lot of shows. Frozen was doing fairly well financially. Even if it wasn't Best Musical material. I expect many other shows to follow suit. This is so sad for all the workers.

I feel you and can’t blame you. I recently moved to NYC to go after my dreams and I can’t help but to feel hopeless. Even though the fire I have in my belly isn’t extinguished yet–and honestly I don’t think it ever will; this is who I am–all this is so scary.

It's so easy to feel hopeless now - but after it's all over, we'll especially need to laugh, cry, and take in all that the world of theatre has to offer. It's a very vulnerable place to be in right now, but the new normal will find us soon. And once it does, we get right the f back in it.

ADVENTURE

Disney Theatrical Productions said Thursday that its stage adaptation of “Frozen” will not reopen on Broadway once the pandemic eases, making the musical the first to be felled by the current crisis.

“Frozen” had been the weakest of the three Disney musicals that had been running on Broadway — the others were “The Lion King” and “Aladdin” — and the company made it clear that it does not believe audiences will return in substantial enough numbers to sustain all of those shows.

Not only does Disney plan to resume the North American tour of “Frozen” once theaters open, but also has plans to open additional “Frozen” productions over the next year in London, Sydney, Hamburg and Tokyo. Disney said one reason for announcing the Broadway closing now is that it would allow the company to reuse the costumes and scenic elements in those other productions.
