You are inanely delusional if you think Interscope didn't want to release the album because of her attitude. It was because it wasn't commercially viable to them.

It took female rapper Eve, 6 years to release her album because Interscope feared it wasn't going to generate a hit.

You're making my response one dimensional. There are two sides of the coin. On one hand, Interscope (as many major labels seem to be) is notorious for being difficult with their more forward thinking artists in terms of them taking creative strides. Her frustration with that is not surprising and is justified. Her wanting to move elsewhere and get her **** out is also justified. What I dont find justifiable to which most of you do or just seem to still overlook (which baffles me at this point but whatever) is how she goes about getting her points across publicly and the steps claimed to have been taken to be dropped. I just think they're stupid. But I digress.

Commercial viability is certainly a factor and never once did I deny that or say that it wasn't. But public relations also matters, her attitude also mattered. Its tripping me out that you all think it was insignificant lol It was aggressive and it became notorious and most importantly it was pointless and petty, that most CERTAINLY played a major factor. And I think it started out unintentional and then became intentional on her part because she was frustrated. As I said like relentlessly, she dug herself in a hole. To say this doesn't mean that I think she should've reached Nicki Minaj/Katy Perry sized audiences, that her personality needed to be neutered or something so she could attain fame and chart success. I never saw her as that and I never wanted her to be that. I always thought she'd be like an M.I.A. and make dope music and be on mainstream radar without being apart of the mainstream. But her cutting back the useless twitter rantings isn't neutering her personality and at any rate if she just did all that so she could be dropped I think thats kind of dumb. Like you dont? And if not then fine.

"shes a pr nightmare" the only pr she was getting was cause of her beefs  :toofunny:  interscope refused to invest in her

And part of the reason they refused to invest in her is because taking into consideration her reputation, she was a risky investment. Thats just aside from the fact that they probably didn't understand her aesthetic and didn't know how to market it but I mean look at M.I.A. She still gets her **** out and its not typically commercially viable. So I don't understand why Azealias this special case as if shes so much less commercially viable than other artists. Not that she shouldn't have left Interscope, im just saying. I see plot holes.

speculation leads to discussion to which mine only lead to defensive stan nonsense

well I'm done with this "discussion." Azealia will deliver whether she's signed or not and people will want her because of her sound. At least she wants to do something different in music unlike others. It's not about the drama, it's all about the music.

At this point, I'm just too annoyed that what would come out would probably give me WPs, so I'm just gonna do like Azealia a few months ago and keep my mouth shut for now. :toofunny: It's not worth it.

Theres clearly ways of getting what you want and manipulating situations to your advantage. Shes green to the industry and shes my age, she made some questionable choices and maybe in the future she'll look back and see what she could've done differently. I get that.

Shes leaving interscope and moving forward how she wants to. Fine. I just can't help but think she didn't play her cards right though, thats why I said it all comes off as a tantrum rather than strength. I think a strong person would've handled things differently or manipulated their incredible situation differently whether that have been to stay on and make music or move on somewhere else.

Fine enough.

Her beefs did little to hinder her grind, releasing critically acclaimed bodies of work and touring in front on thousands of people. But now there is little she could do without her album and Interscope refuses because it's anti commercial. Not because of the beefs.....

And ps It took MIA a year to interscope to release her last album....

P.s.s. When Azealia was more positive on twitter for like 8 months Interscope still didn't want to release her stuff.

I root for you. I love you. You, you, you, you.
