That way, people don't expect certain things and it's a total surprise. As far as I know, ARTPOP era was ruined because we knew everything about the album before it even came out, and she was hyping things up too much and at the end quite a lot of people were disappointed. Just go re-listen to her Zane Lowe interview from earlier this year if you want to hear her talk about the album. She will obviously be promoting her music more starting next week.
