Thematically TF is a lot more clear than Joanne. If I had to rank her albums theme-wise I would probably go TF>BTW>TFM>Joanne>ARTPOP live and let live
Yxilon 5,248
TFM and BTW are her most cohesive albums. How can you describe an album that has LoveGame, Eh Eh, Brown Eyes, Disco Heaven and Retro Dance Freak as cohesive? Everything could be everything (it could mean anything)

ARTPOP is erratic and jarring, which I think is intentional because of how conflicted and lost she felt when she wrote it. It goes against itself and I love it 🇨🇺🇧🇸 monica from rhoslc kinda had a point

Lyrically all the songs on The Fame feel like various stages of attending a glam concert; from getting ready, to meeting with the band backstage, to the show, to the after party, to the dirty bits, to the day after. It’s a very smart album.
River 117,241
by song titles, Chromatica is the least cohesive, it just feels like a bunch of disconnected titles merged together So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Joanne really sounds like a collection of songs. They don't really have a good flow to each song or feel conceptual.

That's why I would say The Fame Monster is her most cohesive cuz every song has it's own unique vibe but it works together as a whole. The Fame gets a bit repetitive at times. gagzus 15,931
i'd say all her albums are cohesive to a degree but i feel like the fame is actually her least because; it goes from Electro-Pop songs like Poker Face into Hip-Hop/R&B with Starstruck/Paper Gangsta and then Glam Rock like Disco Heaven/Again Again. I don't feel there's a natural progression, BTW and ARTPOP have the most natural progressions imo.

You could've just used this opportunity to praise TF, but you decided to go another route, didn't you? I mean, I agree. I think TF is her most cohesive album, but did you really have to say BTW was "pretentious"? chill No I clearly praised ARTPOP's concept but it honestly it is a mess(cohesion wise) Born this Way has high ups and downs . If i wanted to go through that route i wouldn't have praised some of it's aspects. Also I hate to say it but honestly it's supposed to 'Relative'. The fame is her most cohesive BECAUSE her other albums failed to have that level of cohesion in the first place(in my opinion, dont attack me) . But I get it how my opinion can give off that impression

Chromatican 4,046
The Fame Monster and Born This Way are far more cohesive. The Fame is like half conceptual and half fun pop music.
