Joanne would have been a bigger hit

I think I would've been shook if Million Reasons was the lead single... I know some people would not be here for it but I think we would've been shook if a ballad was the first single.

Joanne could've been more successful if she released it after her Super Bowl Halftime Performance the following year instead

Experimental is a subjective term. Maybe it’s experimental for her?

Why?

(it's a joke obv)

However, the final statement is peak delusion. Joanne is in no way shape or form experimental. It's safe bluegrass inspired country pop and then you have PI which sticks out like a sort thumb in the album because it sounds like a compressed tame impala-inspired song. I understand that she wanted to change up her sound completely which is expected, but you can change up your sound while still being creative and raw. Joanne just isn't that.

Lmao whats the difference  ?

Experimental music is either when the individual artist goes outside their comfort zone OR is one that plays with genres and breaks the bounderies and thats exactly what joanne did

I would say it's different from her usual style, not experimental tbh

Soft, soothing, and succulent

I LOVE GGD

Not in a Million Reasons sorry I mean in a million years

The album is not what the GP wants or listens to.

It has some good songs but no bangers.

I think A-Yo would've been a better lead single because it's a good mix of pop and country, so it's the perfect transition to introduce the other singles that sound more country. DIC would be a better promo single than John Wayne. Million Reasons is perfect for 2nd single, Joanne for 3rd, and Diamond for 4th and final single. So that's 2 upbeat singles and 2 ballads.

Though if Perfect Illusion wasn’t a single, people would be complaining how it was never a single, like they do with most do the other songs now. Gaga just can’t win with this perfect album :selena:

Perfect Illusion sounds more like a deepcut to me. It's one of my favorites from Joanne tho.

Killa

It was confusing, gave impression she was confused and not full engaged.

Youre right, good promo isnt being on 200 talk shows but from start making it simple  for peole to come in as she invites to tell her story. She didnt seem to want people to hear her thoughts tho.

A pitty

It seemed like the most obvious choice to me. It's the biggest, poppiest song. A lot of people think it was a bad decision tho :flop:

It’s one of mine too, imagine making a deep cut as a lead single... wait a lot of people are actually doing that now, maybe I should do that :enigma:

I agree  but 70% of this fanbase  are convinced ayo is the worst thing on her discography.  I think million reasons should have been  first  then perfect Illusion then  dancin in circles cuz the story would make much more sense. remember the vidoes were a trilogy

Million reason: her being broken and looking for  reason to stay.

Perfect illusion: she picks herself up and realise it was all just a  perfect illusion and she has to go back to being gaga.

Dancin in circles: crazy/sexyga comes back
