This is because, and I’m sorry but it’s true, the US president is a selfish idiot and a lot of Americans are too. The rest of the world is looking at the US and either shaking their heads, laughing or just in disbelief at how terribly the pandemic (and the country) is being managed. I don’t blame others for looking at us in this way—we deserve it. I’ve been following quarantine guidelines for 8 weeks now and yes it’s exhausting but I’m also not in any rush to get back out there and be at risk for getting sick.
