Woolfsmck 2,763
https://www.yahoo.com/news/global-carbon-dioxide-levels-record-171509995.html Says that 2/3rds of the co2 production comes from coal burning for electricity production... Also...the cp2 is increasing despite the slowdown due to corona virus. Hmmm....makes a case for oil actually..that the green movement should focus its efforts on a different part of energy...if it were soley a scientific based effort. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. TSUNAMI 21,297
Half of the Australia almost burned down. Are you guys aware how much CO2 got freed by that? We can not stop this. The beginning of the end has started a long time a go and the planet already started with it's cleaning procedure. When your body gets infected it does what to kill the virus/bacteria - raise a temperature. Planet Earth is so similar to our own body but there is no medicine for the planet. Once it's over, it's really over, no matter what Daisy Queen has to say.
Helxig 45,367
How did I not know that we burn coal for energy I feel like this is important information to know. How is coal an efficient energy source at all? Just looked it up and that seems like a ridiculous way to get energy I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. Taylucifer 5,249
In order to combat this we just advance to a level 1 civilisation (therefore being able to harness all natural energy) and use said energy to control the weather and make the planet carbon neutral once again TayDaily

Although i agree regarding Australia and CO2, please STOP acting like planet Earth is a living being... it's not, it's a planet. You cannot compare human beings and ... a planet and i'm so sick of this #SAVETHEPLANET wokeness, because it's not save the planet thing, it's about saving HUMAN RACE. Stop being cringey Either way, climate change affects poor people the most and rich people can just switch from place to place. Worry about actually participating in contributing to renewable energy development, link kickstarter campaigns and donate to scientists instead of preaching something you don't practise. Please, please stop being Twitter woke. I'd like for global warming to end, but you can't just expect reality to bend to your will without any CONCRETE action. You should motivate people to actually support research and not be pessimistic because you're not helping at all with these recycled metaphors and vague comparisons that belong on some creative poetry fairy tale forums Once it's over, it's really over? For who? Just for the current ecosystem, the new one will arise from the ashes just like after every mass extinction events. No medicine? LMAO what. Totally unnecessary statement My pu$$y tastes like pepsi cola

It's worse than oil It's cheap and easy to store is why historically it's been used so much but because it pollutes so much it's also been a #1 target to phase out. My Province for example has few or none left @Woolfsmck does have a point that I myself have brought up many times before. When people think of pollution it's always oil that comes to their mind but Coal is still the biggest culprit of pollution despite reduction Oil would probably be second most because of transportation and farming practices is probably the 3rd because of the methane it produces which is worse than CO2 for warming (but I'm not 100% sure if oil is above farming but I assume it would be)

Totally unnecessary statement i don't disagree with anything you said but the way you put it makes me wanna wait actually i do, your anthropocentric problems don't exist in a vacuum, you need food and air and energy and sh!t and it doesn't come from thin air yes the planet will keep on after we're gone but we are a part of the current nature, which is what twitter sjws call "the planet" we must save so it's either you act on keeping the environment how it is now or we're gone with it (like you said yourself) AND earth as a living entity is part of many religious traditions and individual spiritualities, you don't get to dictate whether it is or not believe me, i'm borderline atheist, but i don't get to say there is no god when my mama prays to it ice heard one side from above

Farming does in fact contribute to global warming, but without it, the size of the current global population would suffer starvation... Consider overall population as a factor here , since the damage for energy is tied right to it.... Some countries (like canada) have in fact approached global warming from a science base not political.. If we attack oil companies that are simply suppliers, then nothing gets done... The politics of oil is the problem imo since its massively profitable and buys votes in a corrupt gov. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. I'm shocked people don't talk about coal more often. I just never imagined it was so cheap you could burn such large quantities for energy. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. I just never imagined it was so cheap you could burn such large quantities for energy. I'm surprised too. It could be in part because many developed Nations already largely phased it out so car and industrial pollution is now the main thing to focus on in those nations But the developing world still has tones of coal plants and even some developed Nations like USA has quite a few And Oil is so talked about because of the politics involved with it that when people think global warming or fossil fuels it's what comes to their mind People even talk about phasing oil out because we should be investing in clean electricity like solar and wind. Shows how much they know cuz hardly any oil is used for electricity. Coal and Natural Gas are the more relevant fossil fuels in that department A few Oil power plants do exist world wide especially in middle East but it's not a major thing. When it comes to oil most of its CO2 comes from transportation
