According to music blog idolator, “Daisies” was produced by The Monsters & Strangerz (the hitmakers behind Dua’s “Break My Heart” and Selena Gomez’s “Vulnerable”) and co-written with J Kash, Jon Bellion and Michael Pollack. Katy loves being on top, and after the series of unimpressive singles she's put out she desperately needs a smash, and associating with Taylor (or pretending to be) is probably the best way for her to achieve that quickly.
