It’s a phenomenal album itself, but what makes it great for Dua is she’s shown her artistry and capabilities. 
 

For Gaga I think this would be seen as safe for her.

I’d be happy with Gaga if she recorded FN. It’s really kinda pushed disco back onto the music scene. It’s brilliant & that glossy, flawless production... heaven.

stellar album but not on Gaga level because its themes are lyrics are quite simple and Gaga now wants to go to higher concepts and more raw personal lyrics, and also, more distinctive sound

Future Nostalgia is a good album, but I honestly don’t understand all the praise it gets. The only song I’d say is “ground breaking” on the album that I never get tired of is Physical. Don’t start now is also a bop, but the rest of the songs are cool for a listen or two and I’m content with not hearing them again for a day or so. I’m not saying it’s a bad album at all because I do like it, it just hasn’t “reinvented the wheel” per say. With all that said, yes, I’d be extremely underwhelmed if Gaga released this album as her own.

It’s an amazing album musically. No filler, all great songs, clear and defined sound and theme. It’s very straightforward and executed veeeery well. One of my fav albums ever

But Gaga is known to be more extra and ambitious, even if it ends up messy (ARTPOP)... and that’s why I stan. ARTPOP is my #1 album ever because the good ideas overshadow the flaws, whereas Future Nostalgia just doesn’t have flaws, but is not as ambitious.
