OMG literally unbelievable! You’re so lucky! Anything interesting or cool to report?

Oh gosh, I was so young. I remember standing in line a long time to get in, and we sat in a mini auditorium with the soundstage (is that even the right term?) in front. I'm sure they gave us instructions for how to behave during filming, but I don't know what those were as I probably wasn't paying attention since I was a kid, plus it was a long time ago (this was in 1992). I do remember not liking the plot very much because I think that's the episode where Dorothy gets married to Leslie Nielsen's character, and I disliked the idea of the Golden Girls "breaking up"...I also remember we all gave everyone a standing ovation at the end because it was the last episode, so that was pretty cool. In a scrapbook somewhere my mom might have a physical copy of a photo of the cast coming out at the end. I couldn't even tell you were the studio was (I want to say Burbank, but who knows) or how my sister got the tickets, and in hindsight, I'm surprised they let a younger person in.

The whole trip was super fun, but that was definitely one of the highlights. It's not like we got to actually meet any of the cast though.

I religiously watched the show when I was 14-16, and I always somehow identified with Blanche's slutty urges :huntyga:

The show is still so comforting to me to this day and every time I buy a cheesecake I HAVE to sit myself down and watch an episode or two while eating a slice..

edit: Also I still never watched the last two final episodes and refuse to for some reason :smh:

I'm a Bea Arthur fan.  Her brilliance as an actress can be seen in this episode of Maude, which was a solo performance the entire episode:

I live outside the space time continuum.

I'm so glad someone mentioned Maude! Another iconic Bea Arthur character! :legend:
