K bye

In October 2017, Penniman [Little Richard] once again denounced homosexuality in an interview with Three Angels Broadcasting Network [a hyper christian tv network], calling homosexual and transgender identity "unnatural affection" that goes against "the way God wants you to live".

I think it's a lot more complicated than that considering his whole life was a struggle choosing between his own sexuality and his religion which is quite sad. Whilst his comments should rightfully be criticised, if you read between the lines there was a lot more struggle to his comments in comparison to the standard homophobe's comments.

Regardless, RIP Little Richard. Your legacy lives on.

Well now he has all the time to discuss it with God. (no hate)

Well you have about 60 years of your life left to search a little about him and find out that he was literally bullied, and kicked out of house due to his " gay behavior". ( no hate).

Who gives a f*ck? It’s his own body and his own life. If that’s how he feels, how does that affect us in any way? He was an icon that wasn’t afraid to wear makeup, be exaggerated/feminine, and was a pioneer for his time. A time where if you were openly gay in the industry, you’d be crucified (not literally). And yet, he was huge, and many other artists actually borrowed/stole his music and got more recognition than he did, unfortunately.

At the end of the day, who cares what his views were. If that’s what brought him peace in his last days, so be it. Let’s appreciate his art, and not his beliefs about himself.
