Max is literally mentioned as a co-producer, vocal producer and a songwriter.

Also I'm sure Gaga invented some melodies for it but maybe they ended up replacing them or just not giving her credit for some reason...

As much as I like changes, yeah, I agree. Ofc she has a lot of questionable lyrics but she's an excellent (and awarded) songwriter and her words have made my day better many many times.

I think it was Gypsy where Gaga used the line "don't speak German but I try" and credited RedOne because of similiar lyrics to Sheiße.

By "Written" they mean both lyrics and music. So probably she composed/arranged the song too.

Considering a lot of similar replies in this thread, I wonder if she took a step back purely just to shake things up a bit. That's valid, I guess, but I do hope she returns to more production control in the future. Venus is far from perfect, but it's a great example of her attention to detail.

I'd love to see more of what she is capable of in that vein. Maybe I shouldn't have expected that to happen with Chromatica.

No, she wrote half of gypsy with redone then madeon picked it up. The scheiße reference was still cool tho

Apparently the only melody/lyrics suggestions for BR by redone was the rah rah part. But the source of that interview saying that back then was questionable so idk how much of that is true
